Middlesbrough defeats Norwich thanks to a double from Archer, moving up to third.

As they destroyed rival Norwich, Middlesbrough put up a five-star performance, climbing to third place in the Championship. With four goals in an exhilarating first half and a fifth immediately after the interval, Boro ended a losing streak of three games with a flourish.
Aaron Ramsey, who is on loan from Aston Villa, gave Boro the lead early on before Hayden Hackney added a second. Josh Sargent scored for the visitors before Cameron Archer struck twice in the last minutes of the first half.
Early in the second half, Chuba Akpom, the top scorer in the Championship, sealed the decisive victory.
Despite having played two more games, Boro is five points behind second-placed Sheffield United, but the crushing loss leaves Norwich
in eighth position, one point behind Blackburn in sixth place with two games remaining.
Even though his team won, Boro boss Michael Carrick thought it wasn't their greatest performance. I'm thrilled with the outcome, he declared. In an odd sense, I believe we have performed better in prior contests, but tonight we had a really clinical air about us and were brutal. I was quite happy to see that. The lads demonstrated how much they wanted it and how attentive they were, even if it wasn't a really good performance.
"You could see they were confident enough to take the chances and score the goals, too. It was nice to score again even after the disappointment of conceding soon before halftime.
